Brett Chapin has always been drawn by technology in all of its facets. He began his journey into tech in 2005 when you had taken a programming course his sophomore year of high school. In 2017 he began taking multiple programming courses to learn the skills he needed to get his first development job late 2019. Here’s what Brett has to say about himself:

I can remember a time early in my life, before I knew what programming really was, where I walked two miles to visit an uncle to see if he could teach me how to program a DNA strand rotating. At the time, I didn’t know what it was I truly was asking. But as time has grown I’ve realized I’ve always had a passion and desire for technology.

Once I had taken a programming class, I was hooked. I knew from the first time I compiled a program that it was what I was meant for. The thrill and excitement of bring something into the world that had only existed in my head moments ago is what drives me.

I enjoy learning new things, especially in my field, all the time. I would describe myself as a Maker, I love tinkering and building things. I enjoy combining hardware and software to make physical real-world solutions to personal problems or desires that I have. It takes my experience in programming to a whole new level.

There are three things in this world that I care about more than all others. Family/Friends, technology, and my faith. I love spending time with family and friends, just relaxing and enjoying each other’s company. Everything to do with technology excites me. My favorite technology that I am working on practical experience with is Artificial Intelligence (AI). And above these, my faith. I am a strong believing Christian, and the Bible guides my life and how I interact and treat other people. I deeply believe in a love first approach, with patience and understanding.
